RECIPE IDEAS:
Pungent and aromatic, baby ginger is one of our favorite crops to grow. Pink and white, with bright green stems, this young ginger has a milder flavor and is really a treat for anyone who hasn’t experienced fresh ginger at its best.
AVAILABILITY:
September - November
STORAGE TIPS:
Baby ginger does not have the longevity of storage that fully mature ginger has and should be stored in a bag in the refrigerator and eaten in about a week. Whole pieces can also be frozen and then grated (while still frozen) when you’re ready to use it.
CULINARY TIPS:
Baby ginger is very tender and has such a thin skin that it requires little to no peeling
Add ginger to your morning smoothie
Add to a stir fry
Use for tea
