RECIPE IDEAS:
This flavor powerhouse is a foundation for many dishes and a staple in cuisines across the world. Garlic has long been revered as a health aid for its strong antibacterial and antiviral properties. Its sulfuric compounds provide an immune system boost and can support cardiovascular health.
AVAILABILITY:
July - December
STORAGE TIPS:
Garlic bulbs can be stored on your counter for everyday use or in a cool, dark place such as a pantry. Eventually, the garlic will begin to sprout so for longer-term storage, break the bulb up, leaving the skins on, and store in a zip-top bag in the freezer. Frozen garlic can be peeled and chopped while frozen and tossed right into the pan when you need it.
