SWISS CHARD

This hearty green is a member of the beet family (think of a beet that was bred for its large leaves rather than large roots). These rainbow leaves are rich in vitamins A, C and K and minerals like magnesium and iron.

STORAGE TIPS:
Keep refrigerated stored in a plastic bag. Best eaten within 7-10 days.

CULINARY TIPS:

  • The stems are edible. Add them to the pan a minute or two before adding the greens. 

  • Lightly steam or sauté

  • Use leaves to make wraps

  • Add to a quiche or frittata
