sauteed broccolini & Garlic

  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 2 bunches broccolini, ends trimmed
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons good olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Chile flakes, to taste (optional)

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccolini, return to a boil, and cook for 2 minutes. Remove and plunge into a bowl of ice water. Drain and set aside. 

In a large saute pan, heat olive oil over low heat. Add the garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the broccolini and chile flakes, if using, and stir until heated through.
